The RLP chair pairs simplicity with robust construction. Accounting for both form and build, all components share the same cross-section, with the exception of subtle curves introduced in the seat and backrest for added comfort.

The chair’s structural integrity is enhanced by double seat rails, which preserve visual consistency while reinforcing the frame. The most critical joint – where the seat rails meet the back legs – is strengthened using through-tenons, wedged and left visible from the rear. This detail, inspired by Arts and Crafts traditions, captures the principles of honest construction and craftsmanship.

Visually light and refined, the chair has a satisfying sense of weight and sturdiness when handled.
